Daystar Epic Fail---Help!

So screw all you guys who installed your daystar kit in one day, or even 8 hours.

I've been at it all day on just a front end 1" daystar level kit. I've managed to get one spacer on the strut, but that strut is not going back in, even without the spacer. Not sure how the heck I even got it out.

I've been attempting this without removing the upper ball joint, but not sure if I need to remove the tie rod end or LCA. This is proving to be more challenging than anyone let on. Or maybe it's just me?

I see different threads indicating how to do this. One is to remove the ball joint, the other removes the tie rod end, and the other removes the LCA front the hub and drops the LCA. The last seems like I'd be playing to much with the alignment.

I've got a pittman arm puller, but must be the wrong size, as its to big for the ball joint, or I don't know what I'm doing. I've never pulled a ball joint before.

Anyone recommend pulling the tie rod end over the ball joint, or just dropping the LCA off the hub?

So, without another means of transportation I'm sitting hear, without my ride. When the wife gets home we have a party to go to, and instead of riding in style with my leveled T4R, we are taking her Camry.

I'll have her car tomorrow to finish up and make a trip to the store if needed. Anyone wanna help? I'm in New Mexico. ABQ

2 17mm bolts just under rotor, pull those, LCA drops, take off tie rod, and should basically fall out and put back in same way. You will have to push down on LCA, but always works for me. I have never touched the ball joints. Done this 3 times.

I agree with what Sparky said. A second set of hands is worth a lot. We took a long pry bar to wedge in and lower it and it fit right in (this took two people though). My best suggestion if you're working alone is to use the factory jack to lower the control arms so you can slide the shock in.
