Talking First post and Bilstein + FJ Cruiser Springs Lift

Hi Guys,

First of all I want to thank everyone on this forum for posting so much great information. There is a wealth of knowledge on this board that I have been reading for the last few months.

I got a 2006 SR5 V6 4WD. 50K miles and after a lot of reading on here and Swamp Riders help I decided to go with the Bilstein + 4WD FJ Cruiser Springs lift.

I picked up the springs from a member on the FJ Cruiser forums. He had about 22k miles on them.

The bilstein shocks were set on the 2nd setting. .85".

All together, I got an almost 2" lift up front and about .5" in the back.

Next up when the budget allows is new tires and the spidertrax spacers. Thanks to you guys, my wish list for mods is growing daily.

I took some before and after pics. I will try to add more pics to this thread soon.

From the after pics, it looks like it may have a reverse rake now, but that's not the case. Apparently I'm not too good at taking pics. I will try to get better ones.

The lift was done by George at Swat Customs in Fremont, CA. Awesome work, great price and it was done in less than 2 hours.

Jay

Thanks Guys! I really like the way it turned out.

Now it's time to save $$ for more mods and tires.
