I'm looking at the Toytec Ultimate Kit on a 2005 SE. I'm looking at using a separate set of wheels and tires for off-road and using my stock tires and wheels on road. Ya, it will look funny while commuting on 265/65/17 stock tires w/lift, but mpg's on the V8 are already low enough, not lookin to lug around larger off-road specific tires to decrease the mpg's further and wear those tires out prematurely.
My question is, when I install the lift, do I get alignment done with the road tires or off road tires on? Does it even matter?
Another question, does it matter how the off-road tires/wheels are stored when not on the vehicle? Will stacking affect the balance of the wheels/tires? I only ask this because I've had cars that have sat in the garage for weeks at a time and developed "flat spots" on the tires from lack of rotation and the weight of the vehicle, this in turn put the tires out of balance.
