03 have Tire Pressure Sensors
OK, once & for all, does the 03 have the tire pressure monitor? I've never seen mine go on, if it does - but my dealer insists (over the phone) that it has this.

Why don't you try to deflate one of your tires to check it's functionality?? Doesn't the Owner's Manual have a way to check (or reset) the system?? It probably involves pressing and holding the button.

Same question...I can't find it anywhere in the manual.

My 03 does not have the sensor. I think it was only introduced with the 04s. Mine was build in Oct 02, so the late 03s might have it. But as a general rule most 03s doesn't have it.
SImilar to the transmission dipstick the 03s have them, but not the 04s.
Besides all the warning lights are supposed to come on once you just turn on the ignition, see if it is there. It should also be mentioned in your owner's manual.

My Sport, built in May 03, does not have it. Mine has rubber/plastic valve stem caps/covers. The T4Rs that I have seen with the pressure sensors have metal valve stem caps. Just an observation.

Mine does not have it either. I believe it was a federal requirement to have them in 2004 models.

03's don't have it. Mine has a July 03 build date and it does not have it.
04's got "always-on" gauge lights and tire pressure sensors while SR5's lost the telescoping steering wheel.

Would I, like, have to air it up again?

There is no "reset" button. Turn your ignition on and check the gauge cluster for the warning light. If you don't know what it looks like and your owner's manual doesn't tell you then guess what? Also, the rubber valve stems are an even easier way to check: If you got them then you haven't got TPMS.

The 2003's don't have it. That was one of the new features for 2004. It is funny you guys should bring this topic up today, because I just read this article on msnbc.com a few hours ago. Check it out:

My 03 does not have it, not listed in the 03 brochure or the owners manual which I read cover to cover.
They added it into the 04 along with the back up camera on the Nav.
The only real change to the 03 mid year was the appearance package on the SR5 & Sport that did away with the unpainted plastic cladding.

And plus mid-year 03 they added the class 4 hitch to the V8 & increased the towing capacity.

Another big change in 04 was the optional third row seats on the SR5 and Limited.

Here's a question -
I've got an '04 SR5 and I'm planning to buy someone's Sport Edition wheels (same model year). Will the sensors still function properly on my truck? You know, different sensors on different wheels being placed on a "new" truck.
Any ideas?
Thx gang!
