Some cheap c**t stole my tire valve stem caps gggrrrrr

Sorry i had to vent, had 3 stolen yesterday then the cheap coward came back and stole the last one sometime today. I think it was probably done at work by some cheap a55 server at the restaurant next door (westfield NJ if anyone knows that town LOL), although cant be sure. They are metal ones but only cost $2 but im so annoyed more at the fact someone couldn't spend $2 bucks rather than the loss itself.....rant over!

For your future help: I live in D.C.; large city where people still everything, including caps.

If I find one or all taken, I go to the nearest gas station with a air machine. You will always find a couple. People forget to put them back on.

Buy the cheap black ones... and expect to have them stolen or lose them.

I managed to go through 4 tires in the last year and noticed that every time I went to the tire shop one of my fancy metal ones would go missing, after the 4th time, I decided to just go with the black plastic ones too. Honestly they seem to stay on better anyway, I was forever tightening up the metal ones.

Run by or call your tire shop to see if they've got a few laying around. Every new tire valve comes with caps and sometimes shops will hang on to left over old ones for customers who lose theirs.

I noticed a couple of mine missing, too. I don't think they are being stolen...they just somehow fall off over time. The other two were loose. I just swung by Advance Auto Parts and bought a set of four black ones...it was like a couple bucks.

Who cares? They fall off all the time, be glad he didn't let all the air out of your tire and then glued you valve stem caps on there. Of all the things in life to get pissed about, you are pissed over a $0.25 valve cap.

Are these the ones that came from the factory? If some was able to remove them, be glad they were able to get it off rather than it be seized to the TMPS.

No these were just aftermarket Aluminum finished valve caps. And yes i should get pissed about it even though they cost $2 how dear anyone touch my runner! If i find out who did it i'll shoot them in the knee caps - the principal of it!

i just replaced them with plain black ones for now lol.

Stick with the black ones - after dealing with corroded cheap aluminum and premium ones they're not worth the hassle.

Happened to me and ended up tearing the valve and having to buy a new TMPS!

I've had the same fancy metal ones on my 4Runner for almost 7 years and never have come loose or suffered any corrosion but then again I live in dry Colorado plus mine come off once a month when I check my pressures.

Most of you good car guys should be checking your pressure once a month anyway;how long do you go without removing the caps?
