Enkei rims - center caps or no center caps
I recently picked up a set of Enkei RT6 rims with Blizzak DM-Z3 tires. They are 17" rims with 255/70 tires. The craigslist add said they were off a 4th gen 4runner, used one winter. The tires looked almost new. There was an 07 TR4 in the driveway when I got there. The guy said he bought them two years ago. He said he never got around to putting them on last year and feels he didn't need them. I have always run snows so I picked them up even though I am not that happy about minus sizing the tires (I have stock 265/65/17 on now). The price was pretty good.
I searched the internet for a while but there doesn't appear to be much info on these fitting a 4runner except that they may stick out farther than stock. We will see.
I am not sure I like the center caps. What are your thoughts? Are they just decoration or do they actually serve a purpose?
Thanks,

Agreed, no center caps in my opinion.

Normally I prefer center caps but I don't really care for those.

I have Enkei's as well, not that particular model, though. I love my caps, but I'd definitely say to go without them in this case!

Not yet
I haven't mounted them yet. I usually wait until around thanksgiving to put on snows. We did have 12+ inches two weeks ago though! I will post pics when they are on. Maybe I will put them on early this year.
Thank you all for your input on the center caps. I don't like them but I may put them on while I search for alternatives.

They are ON!
I got them rebalanced and mounted over the weekend. I decided to stick with the Enkei center caps for now. Overall, I like the way they look. The backspacing on threse rims makes the tires fit much better, and these are only 255's. See the last pick. There are no wheel spacers behind these.
