Just wondering

Just how do you get in behind the wheel of your 4Runner.....do you have the tilt all the way up on the wheel, do you change position of telescope ? Do you use the grab handle on the windshield post and step on the running bd ? Do you just grab the wheel and kinda pull yourself in..no handle and no running bd. The latter is how I get in (tilt up) but I am 5' 8". Maybe its easier for you big folk.

I turn backwards to hang a butt cheek over the seat edge lifting one leg and sliding on in. I'm guessing that i also grab the steering wheel on the way in with one hand and pull the door shut with the other. This works if you're tall enough. No running board or steering wheel adjustment is involved. My 5'4" wife needs to step directly in first, and if she's wearing a skirt step on the running board. Interesting trivia, eh?

Thats how I get into my '90 too...except I have to duck too or I'll whack my head on the door frame! That hurts!

I stand 6'2" and 280 lbs. (yeah, fat guy here ~LOL~)

My 5'5" wife just jumps in. She loves the thing.

A far cry from my Mazda 626 I usually have to drive...stick a foot in and fall in that general direction. To get out, open the door, fall on the ground. Get up and walk away.

I actually fit better in a 1st gen! Weird, eh?

I'm only 5'5 so I have a pretty easy time getting in and out (cleaning the roof is another story!). I just sort of dive through an open window .

I usually put my right foot in and climb in using no hands, handles or running boards. I hardly ever hit my head against the roof.
