That depends on which truck you're installing the sliders on. For the 3rd Gen 4Runner you will trim the long leg to be the same length as the rest of the legs. There is an install guide available here that has some good tips for the process.

My question was in reference to a 4th gen. I was curious about Snacksquatch's installation and if he cut the legs at all.
If I'm reading the website correctly, the legs come unwelded from the rest of the slider. I'm interested in how much the slider extends out from the body of the truck using the length of the leg as-is. I assume this is also changes if the slider is angled.

Hey Off, sorry for the late reply. I did cut the third leg, and if I remember correctly, I cut it to the same length as the others. Something like 6" or so. Let me know if you need an exact measurement!

I appreciate your response. No need to measure. Your pictures were helpful in figuring out how the far the sliders extend from the truck. I'm trying to decide on which sliders to go with.

We've had several people ask for pictures of the square main tube sliders, so here's some pics of them mounted up to a 3rd Gen Runner. Don't mind the missing trim panel, there will be more stuff missing soon....
The square main tube sliders have a very high resistance to twisting but the square tube does dent easier and you will lose about 1/2" of overall clearance vs. the round tube.

Nothing bolt on or nothing at all for the 5th gen? The first posts lists 90-14 4runner and the onsite lists 90-13 4runner, which I presume is the same item. Isn't post 2010 5th gen?
Curious about taking a DIY weld on DOM set and making bolt on plates to mount them on a 5th gen with kdss

We don't offer bolt on sliders of any kind at this time and have no plans to do so. If you have a 90-13 then you are good, I have not looked into anything newer than that.

Just purchased these for my 4th gen. (My second set, I had them on my 3rd gen before I sold it)
Anyway. They are in stock! Mine shipped quick! They'll be here Wednesday July 11.
Definitely the best bang for buck and that's why I bought them again after researching all the "new" offroad companies that are popping up lately. I ended up back to the same sliders.
Also, you won't find any company who drop tests their sliders like they did a few years back. Video found here YouTube

Very happy with the sliders themselves but after just having them installed, I really wish I had realized this before ordering. Don’t need them as a step so my priority was to have them out enough for full protection but tight enough not to bump my leg every time I get in & out. Oh well.
