1. 1998 Red SR5 (i think)
2. 2004 Silver SE
gave up the ghost in 2007 and left the 4runner family. i really want to come back to a new 4Runner, but they really need to get rid the driver controls on the top of the door before i can come back.

I've owned an 87, 92, 97 ( had a time out with a 02 Taco DC Limited - (an outstanding truck), & now a 2011 T4R. Looking back the 97 was my favorite, but this 2011 is closing in.

1998 SR5 V6 Auto 2WD
2003 SR5 V8 2WD
Pics below.
What happened with the 98, I was coming back from a family members house and someone pulled out in front of me. I was doing 65 MPH and walked away without a scratch or a bruise. it ended up being totaled. So, 7.75 years and 64,000 miles later, we had to part our ways. ****ing insurance! It way payed off too, ****! It had the 3.4L V6
Then came the rental 2010 Camry.... didn't mind it but I hate being so close to the ground. Had the 2.5L I4. Was in it for a month at $30.00 a day, it killed me. Well, not me but the bank.
After the rental, I found the 2003 Highlander. It was nice, but it was the Base FWD I4. Nothing too fancy, I had it for a year. Just recently traded it for my 2003 4Runner V8 2WD. Pics of all of them are below (All other than the 2010 Camry Rental)
I'm only 17 but the 98 was in my family since I was 8 and I started driving it when I was 10 :P. It became my DD when I turned 16, got my full DL (Drivers Licence) and day I turned 16, had the crash 2 fing months later! Had the Highlander for a year a 4 months on the dot, from 6/3/10 to 10/3/11, and 10/3/11 is when I got my second 4Runner. Funny thing is, I traded the Highlander exactly a year and 4 months after, and I got the 4Runner on October, the same month it was born

You made it sound like their fault, did you end up at fault at the end? I ask because most people I have known have gone after the responsible parties insurance company for the out of pocket cost of the rental care, especially when they are not at fault. Hopefully you will never encounter this situation again, but if you do, look into it so your keep the money is your pocket!
