Starting my Christmas shopping early

First off, this forum is pretty awesome. Let's just say I'm counting down the days till I get some money saved up to lift my 4runner and make some of the modifications I've seen on here. Second, I'm starting to plan out my Christmas list and because my XM subscription is ending in December was looking at options in case I don't renew. I currently just have the stock sr5 stereo and want to look at Ipod integration options. Toyota has an integration kit, however it looks like if you go that route you'd have to choose Ipod or XM, you can't run both. Scosche looks like they have an integration kit that lets you keep satellite and have Ipod integration. I wanted to see if anyone has tried the scosche kit and if so does it work like they claim allowing you to maintain satellite radio and have Ipod integration?

If you get an XM radio just make sure it has the aux input and you're good to go for both

I don't know about the compatibility options of stock radios between the different packages, but my 2011 TE T4R has both XM and an iPod connection (both USB and the generic Aux connection) as well as bluetooth connectivity. One of my favorite interior options on my TE.

My TE does as well. The USB is a Trail specific option however.

Negative on it being trail specific. I test drove an SR5 that had it (the brochure shows it as an option or part of a package for the SR5) and the Limited comes with it standard.

And to clarify, it shows the Trail's standard radio config is the option/package choice you can get in the SR5.

The SR5 I drove had the USB port under the temperature controls right next to the Aux port which I kind of liked better than having it in the glove box on the TE. But even with it being in the glove box, you can still just let the cord dangle out even w/ the glove box closed.

Yeah the upgraded stereo has the Ipod integration, however from what I could find out if you have the base sr5 stereo you can have either a satellite antenna hooked up, which I currently have, or hook up the Ipod integration kit Toyota offers, but you can't have both. However, Scosche looks like they have a kit where you can keep your satellite antenna hooked up and have an Ipod hooked up. I was wondering if anyone has gone this route and if it works for them.
