As for torquing your lugs with an impact gun Torque Sticks are the way to go.
They will not warranty an overtorqued lug stud. I would certainly hope that it is fixed for him today and he is back in business.

Yup I too would hope he has resolved his issue and agree that they prolly won't cover over torquing of the lugs. I don't have my maintenance schedule in front of me but IIRC Toyota rotates tires every 5k, I'll be sure to have it done at the dealer

Also do we know if the SR5, Trail and Limited all share the same lugnut/washer one piece design?

SR5 and Trail both do, not sure about the Limited. Just get some aftermarket wheels, problem solved

Installed Trail rims on my Limited and they used the Limited lugs without issue.
