Just wait for the GB I am putting together. If we can get 10+ to commit the labor is $300. 5 to commit $350. $750 is ridiculous. The TRS GB I will be hosting is going to be less then $600 shipped with labor including the HID kit.

These will be under $700 guaranteed with labor and all parts. All you have to do is send in your headlights and pay.
The projector retrofit kit is going to be the same kit Philsey used for his Retrofit. Pics and all info can be found here.

Well they can only be so bright. 4600K is about the brightest.

Ride! Between this and the shrockworks GB I think you're going to force me to live out of my 4runner pretty soon!
Interested in what the final cost and details are on the kit! Thanks Ride!

Technically, 4300K provides the most lumens - so if brightest mean "the most light", then 4300K does that. Higher K = more (blue) color = less lumens. Some go for *the look* of a bluer light, all the way up to purple, for less lumens (ultimately) than halogens.
Everyone perceives color differently however. I started with 4300K. On a whim I recently bought some new Xenarc CBI bulbs @ 5000K (everyone on HiDplanet was raving about) to try. I put one in to compare, and while technically bluer, it looked whiter and brighter to my eyes, so I put them in, and the 4300's became spares. YMMV.

Count me in on a GB. I have an HID kit installed, but no projectors (that was a mistake). I can keep the balasts I have but will need the projectors, bulbs, and am interested in sending them my lights for them to complete.

Right right sorry, that's what I meant. But no one understands that. They say, "I want bright, give me 10,000K purple!!!" . . . "Yo"

Started doing my own and it's just about finished. I'll post more pictures later of the build process but here's the almost finished product! Need to install it on my truck now!

Deekoi - did you have a hard time mounting the projectors? I'll definitely be doing this soon, especially with the group buy in place
