Yeah, just looking at it, I'm thinking the RV dealer didn't do as good of a job as they could have getting the WDH set up.

Finally got around to installing the Morimoto HID Elite 5500k 35w headlights, and the American flag vinyl on the back windows.....have some bubbles on them still I need to figure out how to get out, but it looks great.
The quality of the vinyl was excellent!
Got the vinyl flags from here:
TOYOTA 4RUNNER | PRECUT AMERICAN FLAG WINDOW DECALS | 2010-2018 - XPLORE OFFROADⓇ– XPLORE OFFROAD(R) - Custom Aftermarket Accesories | Jeeps, Trucks, SUV, Cars
You can get a 10% off coupon with USA10 on their website right now.
And the HID lights

They rarely do.
It seems most will set up with too much tongue weight, which is safer than not enough tongue weight. You may have to experiment a little, and you may find that you need to come up a hole with the hitch on the shank. You want some bias to the tongue, but you FIRST have to get the truck set-up the way you want it (airbags for instance). Once you do, the truck squat is-what-it-is, you then adjust to get the trailer an inch or two lower at the front of the box versus the back, by possibly moving the hitch up. Most of the hitch holes are 1.5" apart. You then have to properly load the trailer. You should only carry enough water to get you to where you are going, or close, then fill when you are in place or close, or at least know where the tank is in relationship to the trailer axle. You'll know when you get it right, it took me several trips.
But what helped me the most doing this was using the closed Oregon DOT scales NOT located on a major interstate. The smaller routes that have them never turn them off. You can take your time and get each axle weight. I didn't do this but you could pull out of the way, make some changes then pull back on the scale. I say this because there are quite a few folks who take advantage of this. The other reason using the scales when traveling is it gives you the most accurate example of how you are loading for a trip. Using this method I found I was a few hundred pounds over the rear axle rating of my other suv, while still under GVWR, and while still in spec for the tires. During a fuel run I will lose 300 lbs on the rear axle because the fuel tank is behind the rear axle. Good luck.

Nice rig! I'm leaning towards the classic silver color as well! How are you liking it?

I actually found a "knock off" pair of these on Amazon, they are insanely bright as well, they make everything glow orange when signaling haha - https://www.amazon.com/LivTee-7443-7...9264082&sr=8-4

Threw on some Rad Rubber Design engine splash guards over the weekend. Some photos below and more in a personal blog post.
Good, thick, durable material. But my garage reeks of that new-rubber chemical smell right now. Hopefully it'll go away in a month or two.

Some friends were supposed to meet me for some camping in Queets. Due to a series of unfortunate events, they all ended up bailing - I was well outside of cell range by the time this decision was made though. Proceeded to make the best of it and get day drunk by the river, waiting for them to show up.

Wife and I went and explored that campsite for no reason in particular last winter. It's a really cool little campground.
I can't remember if they shut it down for the season or if it just remains open for first come-first serve. Unfortunately when there's no one out there, it's really hard to beat Kalaloch for the views.
We're taking the travel trailer on its first boondocking trip this upcoming weekend to Fort Ebey on Whidbey Island. That should be interesting. Then maybe try to get a spot at Sol Duc before they shut it down for the season in October. Sites are expensive there though.
After that, probably a few trips throughout the winter to the coast since it's easy to find spots out there assuming it's not below freezing.

I've been to Kalaloch to see the "Tree of Life" before, but I've never camped there - every time I've stopped it's been beyond packed. I typically head for Graves Creek when I'm camping that side of the peninsula, but it was closed due to road repairs. The Quinault river there is a bit more tame than the Queets and you can get in it with less fear of being swept away. And, for some reason, Graves Creek just doesn't see a lot of traffic. It's always pretty quiet.
Hopefully the forecast for this weekend stays sunny for you. My T4R is currently parked under my 13' shed, trying to dry out the RTT - ended up getting absolutely soaked Sunday morning.

Nice. It’s amazing how good the Super White looks with big chunks of rubber. Are those 35’s?
