Saw this beast while we were renting skis. Not sure if he’s on the forums or not but he probably should be!

Update

New rolling stock installed today. Off with the 20" Limited wheels. Installed set of Black Rhino Sierra wheels, 17"x9", and fresh BFG KO2 tires, 275/70/17.
No rubbing whatsoever with my Cornfed 1" front spacer.
So far, have tinted the front glass to match the rest, installed TRD splash guards (primary a rain/snow rig, won't see heavy offroading), the Cornfed spacer as mentioned above, and wheel/tire swap out. Really loving this 4R. I had a 2005 TRD Tacoma that i eventually sold, and enjoyed it, too. Hoping for a long & enjoyable ownership.

Had some strong winds today, 25-30 with gusts to 35 mph, so I took a trip up the freeway to see how the 2019 ORP handled the wind.

No problems. Guess ~5000 lbs has it's advantages. Only felt an occasional resistance to speed, no side to side effects.

Although I don't think you will have any rubbing with that tire size regardless, driving down the street is not a good test for rubbing.

Tires typically rub under flex situations. Even a big lift doesn't matter when the tire is stuffed up inside the wheel well. That's how you test for rubbing

Agree with you on that! Over my 30+ years of driving, I've had more vehicles than I'd like to admit, and lifted several, a couple were pretty extreme. I should have been clear to state "For me & the how I will use my 4R, rubbing shouldn't be a concern". My apologies if it seemed I were giving advice to all.

I did my research before the wheel purchase. My brother in law has been with Discount Tire Co in the stores for 10 years, and 15+ since at corporate, and my son works in the stores as well, so I felt pretty safe with the purchase. I had just a little concern going to a 17x9, but the backspacing worked well to 1) Prevent rubbing (street + light offroad use) and 2) Keep the wheels under the fender wells, both of which were my goals.

Put on a Victory 4x4 roof rack. Install had a minor snag, and of course it took longer than expected, but results seem worth it.

May switch over to black hardware. I found that boltdepot.com seems to have a good selection, and decent prices (even better with a bulk order).

I ended up ordering a Kit from SPECTRA. The first CAI was a custom build one with a MAF adapter attachment. I checked everything and I was so confused that I thought I just broke my intake system. Turns out the new CAI fixed it. I guess the placement of my MAF was too close to the intake head. Thanks for the advice tho! I did end up looking at the PCV but that was after I put the new kit on.

Finally got my ARB awning installed. Used the three long through bolt method to make it easy to remove and install.

Is that the frontrunner 3/4 rack? Also, what size awning did you go with. Looking at picking one of these up soon.

Yes, Frontrunner slimline 3/4 and ARB 2000 size awning which is about 78” long. There are quite a few threads on the size pluses and minuses etc. I didn’t want mine extending too far from the front edge of the rack.

Just picked up this '20 ORP on Monday. Today, I added a little bling.

I would highly recommend getting powder coating from
https://route66mods.com/

They have a proprietary process that prevents chipping and the PC won’t fade like an oxide coating. I am switching over to the Victory rack. When the rack showed up I sent all the bolts for the rack and 20 more for a fairing extension and security bolts. With shipping back to me it was only $42.00. I got matte black.

I have bolts from them on my current Rhino rack, faux bead lock bolts, light hardware and brackets, etc, zero issues and no chipping after tightening down with a torque wrench.

Thanks. I have the same rack and am like you, wanting an awning that is big enough to offer shade but not extend too far past the rack. Going to have to look at this one now.

I got the led light kit with mine awning. It’s pretty cool. Can be dimmed and has amber or white leds built in so you can switch between the two colors. I bought mine as a bundle which was cheaper than separate.
