Went last week, stayed near Frechglen, did the full loop up to Steens, did you take the south loop? Took the wrong vehicle for family comfort, did not like the south loop.
Is this Steens? Wanted to make this trip too before winter
Went last week, great view from the top, very scenic all the way up. Then went to Alvord lake. Great trip, If you are not set up for camping, there in an RV campground with a few trailers for overnight rental. Steens Mountain Wilderness Resort, near Frenchglen.
Swapped out my AVS wind visors to the low profile ones
Old style:
New visors:
The low-pros look so much better. How hard was it to remove the old ones? Been tempted to replace mine but I've read it can be a pain in the ass to remove the old ones.

The old ones broke apart. But it was easy to get the double sided sticky tape off by using my thumb and these lemon scent spray from home depot. Stuff just eats any adhesive ...
Best adhesive remover ever !!!

Looked easy on video, what makes it difficult? Will be getting this soon (KDSS as well)
On the video ... It's a non-kdss install and they had a lift ... I'm not balling like that. So I did the install on my back and on my driveway.
The bolts and the nuts on the kdss are super hard to get too. And it's 19mm and need a breaker bar just to loose it. Can't use a impact gun. Because mine is either too small or too big. Soo had to use and finagle it in to be able to turn the kdss bolts.
Either way ... It's done and I just need to respray it when my TRD Grey paint comes in

Installed my T4R.ORG Badge ~ modded with 1/16" thick X 2 1/2" dia Teflon disc between the badge and grill, stainless steel studs, stainless steel flat & lock washers, & stainless steel nylon insert locking nuts !
Also, used an Aluminum plate painted flat black on the backside of grill.
Currently the cleanest thing on the 4Runner
Hey Brother, my name is Nelson from Florida, just ran across this post of yours
and just wanted to ask where did you buy the badge? It look really cool on your grille and I would love to get ahold of one of this. Hope to hear from you soon. Thank!
I haven't been on the forum for several months now, partly because I've been super busy and partly due to some painful tendonitis and a wrist injury which have limited the amount of time I can use the computer.
Anyway, in late July I took my annual camping and photography trip to Nevada and the Mojave desert. I saw a lot of fascinating ghost towns, mining camps and other historic sites; plus some incredible scenery and wildlife.
I'm currently working on the many videos from the trip, featuring numerous historic sites as well as some stunning scenery and wildlife. This is a slow process for the same reasons mentioned above. Here's a little preview of what's to come:
...Oh, Hell Yeah, Ray!....bring it on....trailers looks exciting and great!...
...Sorry to hear about your painful problems....( my ruptured-disk has slowed my activities down as well ) and then there's the whole pandemic shutdown.......
...I'm really looking forward to seeing what ya have to offer us this time around, Ray!...........Thanks!.........Cheers!.....:cheers :........
Good to see you back, Ray. I hope you're feeling better.
