Yes, I know, it was my moms bday, got done and head out the door posted from my phone. Here is the proof/pics/forum porn.......
I also reorganized the switches some (thank you ANTMAN) had to really work to get the new light switch in. Filed down the existing hole in the dash & ground the switch down also to make it all work, very tight fit but I like it.

My son drove around town to get appropriate valentine stuff for wife/mom to stay on good side. At least it was in the 4runner with all the windows down and 70 degrees

Browsed the Overland Warehouse site (for the 100th time) looking at the 2.5 kit and wondering if that or Icon is the way I wanna go.

We are on the same exact boat.
Here's what I did yesterday. Took the 4R out to Hollister to get dirty for the first time with a bunch of the 120 guys. I'm officially hooked!

Lookin good!
BTW- your parking sensor switch is upside down. It'll only work when going forward when installed that way...

So i have accidentally created an adaptive cruise control mod, I am a genius . I was lazy there, slid right in upside down with a minor trim.

Do the Infinity dash speakers just plug and play to replace originals? Thanks! If not, could you describe the "operation"? BG

Not quite plug and play; the original speakers and their mounting bracket have to come out. I flattened out a small (2x2) piece of angle iron, and then cut it in half to act as the new bracket for one mount, the other side uses the orignal spot. You can see it on the left side. Also on the drivers side there was a tube like piece on the bottom of the grill, I cut it out, it looked like it was rubbing against the speaker. There was a previous thread that identified the + & - wires. Pink and green are neg/- on both sides the other two colors on both side are Pos/+. I clipped the factory end off, shrink wrapped the two wires together, crimped on the connector (had to modify) then shrink wrapped the crimp on connector. Took me about 1 hour, but I was slow, had to build the bracket, and took my time. The driver side wires are shorter than the passengers so a little tighter to work with, but over all pretty easy. And yes the sound quaility is much better, used to listen with the volume at 14-16 now 10 -12 but it is the quaility
here is the link to the previous thread good info
what an unbelievable difference! - kappa 3.5 dash speakers
