Did you remove them or paint them on the truck? Truck for removing?

Nothing like cutting a new car panel in half in an attempt to improve the audio, while trying to keep my 3rd row and storage available.
Started with the JBL 8” sub. Ripped it, the factory enclosure and factory amp out. Built a DYI sealed enclosure out of 5/8” MDF. Went with Rockford Fosgate signal processor, 1000 watt amp and 10” Punch p3 sub.
Lots of work, but sounds amazing!

I found black overlays on Amazon for $80. Super easy, just laid them out, painted from 4 angles to get into all the areas. 2 light coats, finished with a med coat. Then applied

The truck tucked away in the garage is a 1964 FJ-40 that I've owned for more than 20 years. It has 77k miles, and a 4" lift, 33's, Celica GTS seats, a floor shifter conversion, and an Autometer gauge cluster I designed. I also swapped in a GM Alternator. It's been taking a nap for way too long. I started an axle swap with FJ-55 axles I bought from a friend, and am to the point where I have to rebuild the brake systems. I've already restored most of the hard top for it too. One of these days I'll get back to working on it, but for now, it's safely tucked away in the garage. Here's a tiny pic from when I drove it to Moab back in 1999:

Stuffed some 315/70/17 on a few days ago. SPC control arms for the win and giving me enough adjustment to clear the kick panel.

What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!
Installed the Borla turbo XL 40665 muffler. A little louder than stock and not horribly noticeable. Also dumped the piping right behind the axle and added a tip because I mean why not

I did the same and really like it. No drone either and I noticed more power and it seems to accelerate smoother with less pedal.

Oh forgot I took the 4R in for its first oil change and I requested the long press window roll down. The guy in the office said he didn't think that could be done, and I told him it could, he said I don't think so, but we can put it on the paperwork. Well after a little dinner with the fam and go back to pick up and lo and behold, they were able to do it!
Been using it just about everyday after work when walking out the 4R. So other than the dingus telling me something wrong, I have always a good experience at that dealership. Bought my car and wife's car there and took previous cars there for some maintenance.

Yeah there’s zero drone. And a lot cheaper than a whole cat back. Definitely a worth while mod
