Yep, this is the right move. Sticking random LED bulbs in halogen housings is a terrible idea. Go with a full replacement light that is SAE J583 compliant and an actual improvement over stock.

lasfit light bars

Let there be light!!!!

Updated my lightbars to lasfit stuff. Way better than the crap i had on last time.

40 inch is flood/spot.
20 inch is supposedly flood/spot but because of the upper grill blocking the side output, its more spot, which is better in that position anyways.
30 inch is flood/spot, which works well in that position.

the 20 inch light bar will fit in the upper grill area with no modifications or extra brackets and is aim-able.

Drove up to yosemite, up to reno on HWY 395 at 3am, and it did its job wonderfully on the dark stretches. Don't worry i didnt blind anyone, because there is nobody on that hwy at 3am but tweakers and myself.

Lightbars before Lockers!!!!

Installed the Dessert Does It under seat air compressor kit with a ARB single compressor... fits perfectly.

Great kit.

made a propane fire pit / grill

Getting cold out there, so I made a mini propane fire pit and grill. Kept 4 of us warm.

1. ammo can
2. Turkey burner
3. cheap stainless grill
4. lava rocks
5. drill a bunch of holes.

Requirement: space and cost. Had to not take up any space in the 4runner and can be stored on the roof if necessary.

Cost: maybe 60 bucks total.

I still prefer wood fires though, but this is my back up, and I'm not paying 4x markup from a "overlanding" company.

Looks very clean. What is the advantage of having it under the seat vs in the engine bay?

When you say there are no extra brackets, how did you bolt the 20" down/mount it? Or does what comes from Lasfit work.

Before and after of skid plates. RCI comes through again. High quality stuff. Installed by myself with a little patience and jack stands!

Potentially cleaner and somewhat cooler air, and not having to pop the hood. Nothing big just a little convenience.

brackets, bolts, everything is included in the package. I just reversed the bracket so i got more room in front of the grill.

The kit comes with 2 sets of brackets (side and bottom brackets). You only use the side brackets for this installation. I then used the extra fasteners from the unused bottom brackets (m8 bolt, nut, washer, and lock washer) to bolt it down to 2 already available holes in the upper grill. It fits perfectly, installation is maybe 15 minutes if you have the tools available (metric socket, and metric wratchet)

Installed the Diode Dynamics SS3 Max fogs. These things are pretty bright even during the day. Looking forward to the output tonight after work. I also like it got rid of the chrome from the fog light housing.

Those chrome accent bars come out with a screw and depressing a couple of clips. Plasti-dip or paint off the car if you want.
Good move. Looks better!
