Winter Motorsports Winch mount

Does anyone have one? How do you like it?

Trying to decide if I want that one, Bud Built Hidden, or ARB.

Ugh, I looked it up. That thing is ugly, and expensive. And sticks out further than the stock bumper.

Budbuilt for sleeper or Shockworks for full tilt offroad.

That wintermotorsports thing if you are trying to look like a fork lift....

Haha! I love that writing both of these replies took more effort than opening a new browser tab and Googling "Winter Motorsports Winch Mount", but I'm in full agreement with you!

the thing costs $850 USD

mathematically speaking it is approximately 2/3 the cost of an ARB, 1/2 the cost of a shrockworks or approximately 2 times the cost of a budbuilt winch plate.

so ask yourself,

can it do 2/3 what an ARB can? or perform half as good as a shrockworks? or is it worth 14 times that of a budbuilt winch plate.

keeping in mind that it doesnt even come with a winch afaik, it would cost you $850 + ~$1000 (winch) to get a setup worthwhile. so around $1850.

i would PERSONALLY get a budbuilt winch plate ($400), a winch ($1000), and a bajarack shorty ($650)

Which budbuilt plate are you looking at that is $60?

I thought the 5th gen specific plate was like $375, about $400 shipped.

Ah, I see it. I think the complete powder coated kit with hardware for $375 is the better comparison.

Hmm... for about half of that price, I can have a winch mounted behind my front bumper, not looking like ****. Or, for a little bit more, I can have an offroad bumper with good recovery points, with a winch mounted behind it, not looking like ****. I can't even imagine why this thing exists?

Sorry and thanks....

Sorry for not posting links.

I was trying to figure out why the Winter one was so expensive. That was my thought too, for just a few bucks more I could get the ARB.

Honestly I am leaning towards the Budbuilt one mostly due to cost...and it's nice that it is hidden. Then use the money saved for some other mods.

I already have a Warn M8000 winch that I took off my Jeep before I sold it which would tuck into the bumper nicely.

Thanks for your guy's thoughts....
