Reverse / Backup Lights Not Working

Solved! it was the LED bulbs both failed at the same time. I am guessing it was the high temps we have been having in Utah this July.
I installed LED backup lights (about 1 year ago) Update: Actually after researching my order they are probably more like 3 years old - time fly's , anyway they worked fine until now. The driver side is so dim you can only see it in the dark. The other one does not come on at all.
This is a 2012 Trail with automatic transmission.
Fuses look ok. One Fuse under the hood is a big unit that apparently controls many different lights it does not have a visual inspection but all other lights work so it's probably fine. Any known issues I can check? I do offroad some so vibration could be a factor.
Thanks

Replace the light bulbs with the originals. If they work, then it is the LEDs.

Thanks Heath,
I thought I was so smart I reasoned it couldn't be the LEDs they were not old and one was very dim but still coming on and why would they both fail at the same time had to be electrical, wrong! Problem is I don't have much experience with LEDs in my vehicle - till now.
Anyway I replaced them with some extra door LEDs and they work fine.
Much better than having to trouble shoot electrical wires!
LEDs are weird. Maybe it was caused by the hot weather we have been having lately. I hope my inside LEDs keep working.

Are they chinesium LEDs? In the technical electronics realm it is not uncommon to get DOA parts from very cheap manufacturers. It’s so cheap that infant failure rates in the 10-30% range aren’t an issue for the manufacturer’s profitability. It’s also very possible they were sitting on a shelf exposed to vibration and environmental conditions for several years before they made it to you.

I can,t find any information on the brand name. It was an inexpensive kit for interior lights off Amazon and it happened to include the reverse lights too. I actually think the quality is pretty good all the other LEDs are still working.
Thanks for the info it will probably help someone else.

No problem. I hope the other lights continue to work for you well into the future. I’ve purchased a lot of aftermarket bulbs over the years and it’s been hit or miss on the lower end stuff. Generally, even if it was a hit, they didn’t last more than a year or two. Not a huge deal if the replacement labor is easy and the functional criticality is low. Interior lights: no big deal. Headlights, brakes I do not want failing in such short intervals.
