BudBuilt
I'm driving to BudBuilt on Tuesday to pick-up some sliders I bought through Ducmonsta. I figured since I'm down here in NC I'd drive there and pick them up - you know, check-out the shop, go for a nice drive, etc.
Anyway, does anyone have any questions they'd like me to ask or info they'd like me to relay while I'm there?

Ask if his skids for the 5th Gen match up to the ShrockWorks front bumper or if there is a gap between the two.

You can ask him why my bump out slider has a non continuous weld on one of them. I'm glad that I live in the desert so they don't rust from the inside out.

Could you check if there's a pallet of skidplates and sliders bound for Calgary? I've been told twice now that they shipped.

I know pawzitiv has the BudBuilt skids and SW bumper with no gap from the pictures I've seen. He did mention to me that he might have to have some work done on the skid to have it line up with the lower part of the bumper skid though.

Ask him if he has ever heard of a phone or knows what the "Reply" button means on his computer.
Oh, ask if I can return my winch plate to exchange it with the new model that has the holes for lights. Really!

Seems I've opened a can of worms here that I wasn't expecting. I don't plan to be the valiant knight of customer service requests for the 5th Gen T4R.org forum. So, let me clarify:
Do you have any questions that you'd like me to ask that don't involve specific issues with your personal purchases that would put me in a potentially confrontational situation with the company?

Lol...
Nice ice breaker....
but I agree...great products, just no customer service as far as returning calls and emails.
Kind of a shame, because I hear he's an awful nice man in person.

Yup, I talked to him on the phone once last fall to ask a few questions and he's a really nice guy. Very personable. I think the majority of these guys are all nice, they're just much better at designing and building stuff than managing customers.

He could hire Tom Smykowski from the movie Office Space. I heard he's looking for a job. If you don't remember him he's most famous for his quote, "Well... well look. I already told you: I deal with the god damn customers so the engineers don't have to. I have people skills; I am good at dealing with people! Can't you understand that? What the hell is wrong with you people?" He uttered this phrase just before being fired.

But thanks for the offer bro

I can't answer to how the non-KDSS BudBuilt front skid plate lines up with the ShrockWorks bumper skid plate. But for those with KDSS and the corresponding BudBuilt front skid plate, the ShrockWorks bumper skid plate lower lip will need to be sandwiched between the radiator support/frame front cross member and the upper lip of the BudBuilt front skid plate. This will involve trimming about a 5/16" strip off the BudBuilt skid plate upper lip.
Here's the unaltered BudBuilt KDSS front skid plate ...
... and here's the trimmed BudBuilt KDSS front skid plate with the ShrockWorks bumper skid plate tucked in behind.
