Stock Skid Plates

Hello folks,
I've been lurking the forums for a while now and a lot of your awesome 4Runners led me to trade in my Mustang 5.0 for a 4Runner. I recently purchased a 2012 SR5 4x4 and yesterday I went to install the ToyTec Ultimate lift and when I jacked up the vehicle I noticed what appeared to be a missing skid plate. I tried to look for a photo of the stock skids but came up empty. Can anyone let me know if I'm missing anything??

I see the tiny transfer case skid here

All this area is open and molded to be flat

There are two tabs on the transmission skid plate here...

On a side note, can anyone either confirm or deny whether the diff drop kit is required for a 2.5" to 3.0" lift?

Thank you for your time.

That deflector plate as I think it's called is only on Limiteds.... Missing Skid Plate

Diff drop not needed for 3" and under lifts.

Aww man I feel like a fool lol. That other post was just about word for word what I was asking. I guess I need to brush up on my search skills. Didn't see that post when I search. Thanks for the quick response.

No problem and welcome to the forum! I just happened to remember that thread.

I don't think the "search police" need to be called out til someone new reaches at least 100 post anyways.
They should just skip the question and look away!

Skids look normal to me and I am a SR5 guy. Skids are on my list of mods to do. And I agree with Gary no need for a diff drop.

Welcome to the forum and post pics of the whole truck.

I'm going to resurrect this thread rather than the really old one.

I had the same question and found both. However in the original the photos of this deflector plate are broken links. Anyone else have photos and or a P/N. I'm thinking of putting it in since it might be good for some streamlining of the airflow. I will often have my rig on the freeway so the micro MPG might be worth it. It also might not hurt for some debris deflection.
