Weight limit on automatic running boards

I can't seem to find this information anywhere, but as the automatic running boards appear to bend or creates an illusion of bending when stepping on them, I wanted to know what the weight limit on my 2012 Limited's automatic running boards was. I start to get scared when more than one adult male steps on them! Is it around 300 lbs?

I've actually wondered this myself quite a few times. I took a group of coworkers out to lunch the other day; one of them is "jumbo" sized and she put her full weight on the running board while exiting. I cringed just a little bit.

Hopefully someone knows the answer or knows where we can find it.

amp research's boards look very very very similar to the 4runners design, as in they probably made them. Quick look on the site didn't yield results fast enough, but if you found it, at least you could compare.

I checked around on the AMP Research website and toward the bottom of this page it says the weight capacity of each side is 600 lbs.

I'm sure the capacity is similar for our 4Runners. Toyota had to plan for at least two adult males to be on there at any given time.

I'm really surprised at how hard it is to find this info. What's a standard running board weight limit? My non retracting FJ Cruiser boards that I bought aftermarket had a 300lb limit so I'd imagine these are at least that low.
