4 wheeling today

Took the family out for a ride in the countryside today with a little 4wheeling in the TE. With the A-Trac and rear locker engaged, I almost got the TE past it's center of gravity which made me a little nervous going past it with mama and our toddler in the back seat.

WAT? It looks like you are driving around in sand?

Yesterday, I ripped most of the front suspension and steering rack out of the left side of my TE, sliced my Duratrac in half like a balloon, and Taco'd my ATX mojave rim.

No sand here, just decomposed volcanic rock. There's some good wheeling to do in central Oregon, just haven't found all of the good places yet. This one was about 5 minutes from the house. BTW, good work on tearing out the front end of your 4R. Do you have any pictures of it or how it happened? As always, bad decisions make great stories, and I've got some good stories.

Nope, too busy trying to get the vehicle and myself recovered. Picture a pigeon-toed 4runner with a folded in half front left wheel. So far the insurance claim is at $7,681.39, and I still have another grand or so in out of pocket expenses to add to that. Just got it back again on Wednesday of this week.

First off, glad your ok and living to tell the story.

Secondly, what kind of wheeling were you doing to end up in such a situation?
