Anyway to add outer bolt pattern design to a rim ?
This is gonna be a newbie question, but here it goes. Just invested in some Level 8 Mk8 Rims and I was wondering if anyones got a way to add that outer rash guard to it with the bolts on it? Call me a poser but I like the way it looks :P Thoughts?

second that, third that, fourth that and fifth that.
if you want beadlock wheels, go buy them - i suggest you do some research on them before you do that though.

OMF performance.
1. buy them and weld it yourself
2. buy them and have someone do it for you
3. send them your rims and they will do it

Look up beadlock wheels.... then look up road legal beadlock wheels. Read a lot about those first. Google is your friend. Do NOT modify your existing wheels unless you want guaranteed problems. I THINK Procomp makes a wheel that you can add a rock ring to, that is legal.

It could be done easily on a CNC mill. Bolt circle patterns are easily calculated and an experienced CNC machinist could probably punch out 4 by the end of the day, even without the use of CAD/CAM software. Still cost you a bunch though, for a rim that... well... you know...

OP, Toyota makes a faux beadlock rim that I've seen on Tundras and FJ's. The rim actually comes off but they're not true beadlocks......I think. Look at them.

Check out Jason Demello's 5th Gen Build: DeMello 2015 build
Scroll down on the 1st post. He used the OMF rings (mentioned earlier in this thread) on TRD Pro wheels. Sounds pretty spendy, but it can be done.

It's really too bad toyota doesn't follow ford on this one. The raptor wheels are modular and you can add an inner bead lock to them really easy. A real bead lock factory wheel.
There are glue on discs that simulate beadlocks. Not sure how to make sure they fit though. Today's epoxies can be stronger than aluminum so the metal would tear first. I think glue on real beadlocks may happen at some point but i wouldn't hold my breath.
If you want the real thing I think staun internals are the best option for converting regular wheels.

UGH! I know, that is one brilliant thing Ford has done in recent years and I am so envious of the Raptor crowd for that! I am HOPING some aftermarket companies will see the benefit of this and make a similar set-up (higher initial design/manufacture, but lower cost to sell beadlocks with a higher profit margin.)
@ decker1
It's not very feasible to add them to existing rims because of the balancing issue. Most people who go this route are not interested in on-road characteristics because the rims end up being dedicated off-road units from what I have heard.
Toyota's TRD Rims do have a factory beauty ring, but there aren't a lot of other rims in the aftermarket that offer this (I have looked) unless you go for a true beadlock system which it sounds like you're not really looking for.
