Anyone have closeup pics of Baja Rack Mounting Plates??
I drove over 200 miles to San Diego today to pick up the standard rack straight from the factory. Tried mounting the plates today and I'm almost certain they gave me the wrong set of mounting plates!! I'm sure the rack itself is right, because the measurements are correct and there is an opening for the shark fin.
Can anyone provide me a closeup picture of the front and rear mounting plate? I've been scouring the forums for the last hour. Closes I can find is this:
NEW 5th Gen BAJA RACK

I will go take a couple. I am out in the garage drinkin beer, blasting some Jason Aldean, and acting like I am working anyway. Be back in a few minutes.

Good news! They aren't GOBI! That means they will get the correct brackets out quick LOL. I had a bolt or two break from me hamfisting them and they had someone drop them off at my store in AZ. Other bolts I have broken I have received within a day or so. Call them up and they will make it right.

Did you see the storm out where you are? We rode out horseback into the desert to watch it roll in. Lighting in the sky covering everything North/Northwest of us. Did not get any rain until I went to sleep though.

@ MikeBuzzsaw,
Nice rack! Couple of questions for ya if you don't mind
Does it affect your satelite radio reception at all? Also if you could measure the height off the roof from the centerline of the roof right behind the sunroof i'd appreciate it!
Thanks
edit: Just reread your post and realized you don't have it mounted yet...so if ya could when you do.

Congrats on the rack
Ya i'm lifted so height from the ground on any other rig won't work, I need height from high point of roof. I don't have much play as I frequently park in a parking garage in Boston where my OEM antenna just hits.

I am betting after tires and lift I am going to be 6'10", which means my wife won't be able to drive my truck to work since her parking garage is 6'8"

A+ for Sergio @ Bajarack. He was able to resolve everything the next day and I got a free accessory for my troubles since I had to make 200+ mile trip to get the right hardware.

It's roughly over 6 inches at the highest point of the car. I would just say 6.5 inches and under to be safe. The truck easily fits a 7ft garage opening but don't think it would work if you were lifted.

Exactly what I needed, if it's under 7" then I should be good. Thank you
Now since Gobi and RiDE are blowing me off I just gotta chase them for a refund
Thanks again!

And to answer your question is does not effect the satellite radio. I'll let you know what problems I might run into on my 2,000 miles roadtrip im taking this weekend.
