Question about 2013 Limited vs SR5 rim & tire question?

I just bought my wife a 2013 SR 5, fully loaded with navigation system all the available options for a SR5. My question is simple will Limited rims and tires go on a SR5 model. I ask because after buying, I have seen a few limiteds & I really like the tires & rims!!! The only reason I got the SR5 was due to the good deal I got plus the availability at the time. So will they fit and work?

Shouldn't be a problem. Personally, I'd go with a nice set of aftermarket 20s if I were you - they'd likely be much cheaper unless you found someone that was selling theirs for cheap. And the stock LE wheels sit too far inboard and make the truck look pretty nerdy, IMO.

Thanks for the response! I like to stick with toyota OEM rims. I have a good relation ship with my dealer due to mutilpe purchases from them. So I get service and parts at what they pay. Plus the 20" Rims look great and I don't really think that I could find a after market rim that will look right?

Has anyone every done this to there new 4runners. I will be looking online for stock rims and tires. On know on my 08 tundra, I got 4 20" rims off ebay for $400 and replaced my original 18" rims that came on my basic truck.

It's a direct swap. The overall diameter(wheel and tire combo) is the same size so you're speedo will be dead on as long as you stay with the OEM tire size.

Also, you might want to post a WTB or swap request in the "For Sale/Wanting to Buy" sticky thread. The OEM rims occasionally come up for sale or swap as folks go to aftermarket wheels or may prefer the SR5/TE rims.

Yes I did, she doesn't care one way or another. As long as it has tires and rims she doesn't care about what they are or how they look but I do. I was told by the dealer that he belived that installed limted tires and rims to SR5 would void the warranty as the SR5 does not come stock with them? While that doesn't concern me that much as I no all the guys in service department And they would work with me. Just curious if anyone has heard of warranty not covering different tires and rims even though would be OEM rims and tires?

It never ceases to amaze me some of the unbelievably stupid things uninformed dealers will say.

Not sure how closely you have looked at the stance with the LE wheels but it is pretty weak. They are way too skinny. Like wagon wheel skinny and the wheel width limits your tire choices.

Yes i did notice that. My only problem is the stock just look to plan and simple. I might be able to over come this with some BFG's white letters out, vent visors and running boards?

So what are you all thought of the limited rims worth it or not to replace?

thanks

If you like it and feel good about making the swap, I say go for it. You can always add wheel adapters to push them out a little.

As far as voiding the warranty, don't worry about that. Just speak to another service writer that knows what they're talking about.

Sold my LE rims within a month of purchasing my '13 LE. I personally like more tire options and wanted a more truck like stance. I dropped to aftermarket 17s from my 20s and love it. Personal taste and wanted more rubber, less wheel.

I do see your point with the limits on what tires can be ran with the 20" rims. I wish that I could have bought your rims from you. Anyways, I think that i will take a hard look at keeping the 17" stock rims and putting a better then stock tire on it for apperance. I am also thinking of installing running boards (no real reason other then looks) because they are not needed to get into the 4runner due to height. Also I will be adding vent visors to windows and possiable sunroof.

Does anyone have any good suggestions on where I can get vent visors from for 13 4runner? I have found that toyota does not carry them as a stock item or even have a option for them. If anyone knows where i can get this from please let me know.

thanks

Amazon.com is where I have gotten the last two sets. I am currently using weathertech in channel vent visors. On my previous one I used Ventshade stick on type. I like them both and Ventshade brand is 1/2 price of Weathertech.

Thanks for the information. Did you get them for all the windows including the back. Also what about sunroof?
