The chime can
easily be turned off for either the passenger or driver or both.
I believe this is included in the
Owner's Manual.

As stated in the details above, simply ask your service adviser to perform these customization's at your next visit to the dealership. Most dealerships will try and charge you, sometimes an arm and a leg, for a what ultimately takes just a few minutes. Be kind and see if you can get them to do it for free. Good luck.
