Daystar Rear Spacers vs Superflex, Diff drop?

Has anyone had the Daystars and switched to the Toytec Superflex?

I currently have the Daystar 1.5s in the rear but I'm ordering the Toytec coilover kit to go with my Bilsteins and some Light Racing UCAs soon, maybe today.

My alignment numbers were pretty bad after the Bilstein lift and I figured if I was going to take everything apart again I may as well do it right and replace the front springs with coil overs.

I am trying to figure out if it is worth it to get the Superflex springs to replace the Daystars in the rears--- pros, cons?

Also, should I buy the Diff drop too? I can't find a solid answer one way or another. I am searched out.

Are you going to take the spacers out all together and just run the Toytec coilover kit (front) and Toytec springs (rear)?

If you are just switching over the the Toytec for about 2 1/2 - 3" of lift, then no need for diff drop.

And stacking the Toytec lift with the spacers sounds like a not so good idea...if that is what you are asking.

Definitely not stacking. I would either leave the stock springs with spacers OR switch to Superflex springs in the rear.

The fronts are 5100s set to 1.75 with stock springs.

I do have 5100s in the rear already as well.

I feel like I am being ridiculously unclear. Options are as follows:

Toytec coilovers in front w/ LR UCAs and 5100s
Stock springs and daystar spacers in rear and 5100s

OR

Toytec coilovers in front w/LR UCAs and 5100s
Toytec Superflex Springs in rear w/5100s

I'll pass on the diff drop unless someone can convince me otherwise.

I don't think you will gain much, if anything, by switching out the back spacers to longer springs. The exceptions would be if: (a) you have some issue, such as noise, with the spacers, or (b) you use your truck for hard off-road use and need every inch of travel.

Otherwise, your first option is just fine.

Why would you not just use the coilover+shock setup that Toytec has? They are designed to work together.

I would use something that was complete from front to back. Suspension is a system desingned to work as a unit. I would stay away from mix and match on the components. For example, if you go Toytec, go with front springs and shocks (coilover) from Toytec, and in the rear Toytec springs with the correct length of shock.

No issues currently with noise or anything. My only concern on the rear is long term ride and sagging with the spacers. Extra flex would be nice but not totally necessary.

By adding Toytec's coilover kit I essentially end up with the same coilovers that are in the Ultimate kit- i just have to assemble them. The ultimate uses the same 5100s I already have.

The same valving and everything? I honestly admit I know little to nothing about the Toytec set up, but if it uses the same sounds like it would work out OK for you.

I am late to the party, but I have ran both.

My advice is this, don't half ass it. You will only be mad about it later when you are doing it again. I loved my superflex rears. They rode nicer, flexed an inch or two further, and in general felt a lot better. Daystar uses a polyurethane to build the spacer, in time it will begin to sag. You are already spending some money on the front setup, compliment it with the rear. Nothing worse than a woman with a really nice rack, and no ass....

I ended up getting the Superflex coils for the rear. I haven't installed them yet though. I'll probaby get to it in the next couple weeks. I have the coilovers and UCAs in and I like the ride better than stock. The rear tends to sag pretty bad if there is much weight in the back with the current stock spring/spacer setup...the new springs should remedy that to a degree.
