Rear Door Wire Connector K01 Disassemble?

Does anyone know how to disassemble the rear doors wire pass-through? It is located under the B-pillar, connects to a rubber grommet, and enters into the rear door with the speaker and window control wires.

According to the downloadable manual on this forum, thanks Nashman69g, it is connector K01. I can't find any information on how to release it. My dealer had the same picture from the manual but no idea on how to remove it.

The SR5 we purchased had some hail damage at purchase that was repaired last week. I disassembled the interior for roof access for the repair and am upgrading the stereo since I'm already apart. I'm more than knuckle deep into replacing the head unit, speakers, adding reverse camera, seat heaters, and a few other tweaks from the forum .

Leaving the stock wiring intact for a possible future return to stock is mandatory for me. I have run new wire to the front doors and dash, connected a JL XD700/5, and connected the steering wheel controls. The addition of front door speaker wiring was doable if not difficult, but the rears have me stumped. Advice?

I have some pictures of my install that I'll put up after I get all the 4runner parts off the shop floor and reinstalled. Right now it looks like a Toyota bomb went off and I'm receiving "pressure" to finish my project.

Thanks,

I got the connector to release. Not difficult. Routed new speaker wire and connected to the replacement speakers with minimal modification. Everything will be returnable to stock easily. I'll post some pictures and how to do it after I get everything buttoned back up.
