$1,500 to spend...
What should I do? 18" rims and tires or 17" rims w/ stock tires (til they wear out) and a lift? Keep in mind the lift is for cosmetic purposes only as I never go off road. Anyone else have any other ideas?

I bet you could buy 285/ 70 tires and a spacer lift for $1500. That's what I would do. It will make a huge difference in your truck.....you'll love it

Not going to off road then don't lift. Stay with stock 17s and just get a set of 275/70x17 in a nice AT just in case you hit a dirt road or snow. Then you arent killing you MPG. Hold on to remaining for a rainy day.

Countersteer X wheels...I just got them with my stock tires and it's a very good bang for 900 bucks...dramatically changed the look of the vehicle. I am also noticing an MPG increase, quicker from a stop and shorter stopping distances. Use the rest of the $1500 for Shrockworks sliders. I opted to keep the suspension stock engineering until off-roading dictates that I lift or modify the suspension.

I have a 3 inch lift. I will likely never need it for off roading, but the extra headroom under the open lift gate doesn't suck!
