SR5 spare steel wheel specs?
I picked up a lightly used 285 on CL yesterday for use as a spare. I'm wondering what the specs are on the factory spare wheel? I crawled under and took a look today and found no markings. Anyone know the width? Any chance it's the same as the FJC steel wheels (hoping)? Has anyone out there mounted a 285 on theirs?

From what I have read on here posted by other members, they say a 285 will fit the spare underneath. I do not know the specs of the factory spare, sorry.

Howdy,
I recently mounted a Mickey Thomson Baja ATZ in 285/70/R17 to my stock steel spare rim. It fits the rim fine, and fits back up underneath fine. Of course it sits a bit lower than the old 265 spare, but the small lift from the new 285's (plus the 2.5" suspension lift) helps compensate for that. Hope this helps.

Yup, replaced my spare stocker tire with 285 Nitto, fits fine under there.

Look again because my were marked. I don't have it any more and "think" it was 7" wide but it was marked for sure. Mine was from a LTD so I don't know if all three use the same.
