Ordered a set of 1" front lift spacers yesterday. May special, $29. Can't go wrong with that!

1" front lift

Guys....got a question on the lift.

Assuming one has the 1" cornfed front spacer for leveling.....

Can you run 285x70x17 tires on 17x9 wheels with the above setup ?

I currently have a 2 inch lift and zero problems( no rubbing, no BMC) , but frankly, I'd probably prefer to have ony the front lifted to level it.

Perfect - The stock wheels & Tires are my winter set up. In the summer I run 18 x 8 1/2" wheels with 265/65/18 tire.

Just had my 2/1 spacer lift installed. Rides like stock.

Do you have KDSS? really like your lift, nothing crazy

Is the Cornfed 1” top plate spacer aluminum or plastic?

Does it come with longer studs? There seems to be mixed answers on this.

It's made of UHMV and is really 3/8", comes with shorter thread nuts but stock ones will still thread and work.

Toytec and HeadStrong make aluminum top hat spacers not sure if longer studs are stardard for those or for additional cost.

Hard plastic. It does not wear. I removed mine after a year and went another route. Spacer was fine. No signs of damage.

It comes with shorter, lower profile nuts, which also worked fine. No studs with the one inch lift.

Oh ok that explains why the Cornfed spacers are so much cheaper than the Toytec.

I also found Wheeler black anodized aluminum spacers for $45/ pair which is only $6 more than Cornfed plastic spacers. I might go with them.

1/2" Thick Strut Top Plate Spacer Pair, for 05+ Tacoma, 03+ 4Runner, 07+ FJ Cruiser

Thanks, and yes, ours has KDSS. No issues since adding the lift.

Looking at a 2010 limited right now as I am trying to get educated on 4Runners. Was expecting to do a front leveling kit but this one seams very level. I have viewed the lifts from this post and now know what to look for to see what has been done to it. It will be my first Toyota since 1982.

Are all limited 4Runner 5th Gen suspensions the same, or is there one to try and avoid? Reason I ask is the shocks on this 2010 limited seam to have a hydraulic line going to the top of the shock. Good or not?

It's pretty mint, so need to do my homework before it's sold.

I am a new guy so can't make a new post yet so hope for some help!

Have any of you that are using the 1" front spacers noticed a change in the ride quality regarding body roll or anything while rolling over small objects?

I would also like to add:
Anyone do 1" front spacer on 2020 yet? Wondering if it affects the Toyota safety sense functionality. Can't imagine it would given the system has got to be designed to accommodate a heavy load in the rear....
