Question Battery question

I have a 2013 and it is not driven very often. Battery in it is a Toyota True Start that installed 1.5 years ago. Probably have not driven vehicle for about 2 month, I really don't keep score.

So question is should battery go flat in that length of time?

On some of my other cars that are collector cars and are rarely driven I keep them charged up with one of those little maintenance chargers, all those vehicles have optima batteries.

Is it normal for battery in a street vehicle like my Toyota to have such little reservse capacity. I measure voltage at 8 volts. Recharged last night with a gel type charger and then disconnected charger. This morning I have 13.39 volts.

I have read other threads about battery not lasting based on time but not lack of use.

Also read that Sears Platinum was good way to go.

Suggestions appreciated.

Thats not out of the ordinary. During those 2 months, the battery is keeping all the memories stored(Power window auto up/down, sunroof initializations if applicable, smart key where applicable, engine control/transmission control
learned parameters etc...). It will be drawing a small amperage at all times.

Even though I always do it since the car / truck are usually in the garage, they say never leave your key fob inside the vehicle as it will also draw down the battery.
