Part of the Club!

Throughout shopping for my first car (purchased on my own) I kept being directed to this site for any question I may have had during the buying process. I can now say I'm a proud member of both the T4R forum, and the VERY EXCLUSIVE and OFTEN COVETED T4R CLUB!

I picked up my 5th Gen. 2010 4R Limited in the bay area...30k on it for about $32,000. Couldn't be happier 2 weeks in, although I had the misfortune of already resorting to my spare as I caught a nail this past weekend :/.

With all this said, I am more than excited to add-on to this already awesome beast of a vehicle. Any suggestions for a newbie? The first things that come to mind are:

1) Muffler + exhaust tip
2) Additional lights + grill guard
3) Running boards (to help the ladies up and in! lol)
4) Anything you suggest!

With that said, I would be more than excited to hear your suggestions, whether it be specs of the items I listed above, or something such as tires, cleaning materials, etc.! Thanks a lot guys and I look forward to posting more! Picture attached here!

Welcome aboard! There are people selling almost new running boards in the 5th Gen For Sale section currently for a great price- check it out. Many members take them off to gain ground clearance, etc.

Look around- you will like it here, your wallet will not.

Welcome!! It's hard to suggest what to do with your 4Runner, because it's Yours not Mine. Haha. Best advice I can give you is check out the lifted pix, owners pix and build threads. This should give you tons of ideas to break the bank. If you do your research prior to asking a question on here, you will get tons of info in reply... Most good! :-) There's a scattered member on here that I'm sure know more about these things than Toyota does.

Enjoy your new rig!!

nice, my favorite color and its an LE. have one exactly like that at my local toyota dealer that i've been fighting the urge to go buy and say screw it to the 14's.

waiting on a 14 LE and see how it looks in silver with the big honking chrome strip before i decide on a 13 or 14 LE.

Congrats !!! And

I do have some mudguards that are brand new if you are interested. I bought them and did the trail conversion, so I have no need.

Welcome.

Heed the advice of others before me...check out threads on what others have done so you can learn from their experiences, mistakes, and triumphs. There is a lot of variety in what people have done so don't rush it.

Personally, I have a 2010 LE and would not do running boards, muffler, grill guard, etc... focus on suspension, wheels/tires, sliders - that can double as running boards, and don't forget the cheap to almost free upgrades you can do to make your LE even better!

Good Luck!
