Sweet choice!

If you're parting out anything...My driver side fog lens is cracked.

Looking forward to the finished pix.

I ordered during an April group buy, so right at 4 months.

It is on. It took lots of fiddiling, and sometimes one step forward, two steps back progress. I received some help that was much appreciated. Thanks!

I have some more work to do with modding the fender liners, installing the bumper-to-skid aluminum plate, and installing the winch line.

Really impressed with the silver powder coat. It is a very close match.

I probably will eventually part out, but want to make sure I am happy with this set up first.

I added some more photos earlier, will get some more up shortly, but did not photograph every step.

I'll send an email to Shrockworks for confirmation, but in the mean time can anyone clarify the following step:

Step 6 - Install Bumper, Brackets & Skids

Item b. - "Mark and drill for the 3/8" check bolts on the mounts"

I don't get it. Am I supposed to drill more holes through the bumper mount and line up with the bracket?

(I scanned the directions, but not sure how to upload them here.....)

Yes, there are slots in the brackets for you to put bolts through, but no corresponding holes in the bumper. Apparently this helps it lock into position because most of the other bolts in the install have a slot for adjustment to help you align the bumper - this will keep it all stationary. It took me a good 10 minutes with a fresh titanium bit to drill holes through all that steel.

No, not related to skids.

As I understand it now, these are some extra holes you drill when you get the bumper positioned where you want it to lock it in place. Like stakes on the carrier key of an AR bolt carrier, or staking on a castle nut.

I just looked at my bumper and have more than 1/2" gap so will need to loosen and reposition a bit higher, then mark and drill the "stake" bolts.

I also have to work out how to get the aluminum bumper-to-skid plate mounted. The shrockworks bumper and KDSS version of bud built skids don't seem to be playing together nicely. I am going to have to do some cutting to parts to get these pieces together.

Has anyone mounted a shrockworks bumper up to budbuilt KDSS skids before?
