Factory Roof Rack, Please Help

My 2013 SR5 came with the factory roof rack and no cross bars. I noticed that it did not have the cross bars installed within a couple days of buying the truck. I assumed this was extra and sold as an accessory. That was about 4 months ago. So, in a nut shell, did yours come with the cross bars or was it extra?

This is details of me trying to find out:
Fast Forward to last night, my brother in-law and sister in-law come and show us there new 4Runner. Same exact truck, except different color, he has a sunroof and I have running boards. Other than that, twins of different colors. I notice that he has the cross bars installed on the roof rack and ask him about it, as in if the cross bars were extra or standard and point out that I do not have them. Now, here is where his opinion matters…he is a Toyota Technician (I know, convenient , right). At the same dealership where he and I bought both bought the 4runners. He says, they must have “stolen” yours on the lot to put on another truck. It is supposed to come with the cross bars. Further he explains that roof rack/cross bars come as “a kit”. He goes into work today and keeps me up to speed via text. He starts off with the same as last night, saying yea, supposed to be on the truck. Then tells me go talk to my salesman, later says the salesman remembers me, etc…then much later says he spoke to a big manager, who said my truck “came without the cross bars”. Brother in-law walks around the lot and notices a few without the cross bars. So…..was I supposed to get them? Is the manager just back pedaling so he wont have to pay for them now?

It is an accessory. The last 4 cars I have bought... accessory, but may be part of a "package." That is why some have it and some don't. I have never heard of a dealer robbing if off a truck...

I'll check the sticker, that's a good idea.

I have heard of dealer's robbing things off of new vehicles on the lots. But the idea is that there supposed to replace it. It's normally small things like this. If they sell a $40k vehicle and realize at the last min that it is missing floor mats or a radio antenna and don't have a replacement in stock, you better believe they will get one off another vehicle to complete the sale. They are supposed to order the part and replace from the donor truck, but mistakes happen.

My SR5 sticker lists it as an option. Don't have it in front of me, but t was like ~$200-something on top of the base.

It's not part of the "convenience package."

Standard on the Trail only up here in the Great White North. No SR5's or Ltd's I've ever seen come with them right out of the gate.

My 2010 SR5 didn't come with them. Most of the ones I see on the road don't seem to have them either.

It was a $199 option on my sticker. Mine came with but I paid for it. If its in your sticker and you don't have them you best go back to them and get em. They would owe you.

They cost about $235 here in Canada for my SR5. I shouldn't have bought them because they don't work that well for my canoe. I should have gone with some Yakimas or something like that. However, if you are not carrying anything big on top the Toyota racks should be fine.

Having said that, I was very surprised that they are not a standard item on an SUV! If I had noticed that when I bought my vehicle I would have asked the dealer to add them for free.

Mine didn't come with it. I had to order it separate and have the dealership install it because it was harder than I thought to install.

Mine came without crossbars either. But Thule crossbars are much better anyway.
