Thanks. The daystar lift is just a spacer kit. It minimally affects the ride quality. If anything it's a little more stiff over bumps.

LOVE this rig!
Can you give me the details of the set-up (lift height, wheel size, tire size)?
Thanks!

- Wheel make, model, size - Procomp Series 7069, 17x9 with 6 on 5.5 Bolt Pattern - Flat Black Machined, Part # PXA7069-7983
- Tire make, model, size - BFG TA/KO2 265/70/17
- Suspension - Stock
- Body mount chop - no
- Do your tires rub? - no
Just got these a week ago. Here are some general thoughts, mostly for someone in the middle of the "which wheel and tire combo should I upgrade to" research.
1. If you're wondering if you should go bigger, go bigger.
2. Black wheels seem to make tires look smaller than lighter wheels
3. If you have a Limited and think that going from the stock 245's to 265's will be a size increase it won't, you need to go 275 or 285 for any noticeable difference (Note: make sure you do your research if you go bigger). I missed this somehow, and might have gone with 275's...ah who am I kidding I want 285's.
4. Going with black rims will make your chrome trim stand out even more than it does now, I'm planning to plastidip soon.
Now to plan the lift...

What is optimal backspacing for running 285/70r17? It looks like some people are running wheel spacers even with aftermarket wheels that are around 4.5 backspacing? If I get after market wheels I would like to avoid wheel spacers.
Also, how many are running 285s on stock 17" SR5 wheel? It looks like a 285s are supposed to be mounted on at least a 7.5" wide wheel. Any issues running them on the 7" wide sr5 wheel?

Will my 17x8.5 Fuel Octane wheels cause tire/wheel well interference?
Looking at:
- Fuel Octane 17x8.5 -5mm offset (4.5 backspace) wheels
- 265 70 R17 BFG KO2
On stock suspension 2015 Limited 4x4. I hope the wider wheel with negative offset (pushes the wheel further out to give a wider stance) will not cause rubbing/interference.
I am also having problems determining if the original TPMS from my 2015 limited will fit in the Fuel Octanes without any issues.

Nice looking ride. I am looking at a very similar set up except with Fuel Octane 17x8.5 with -5 offset. I'm disappointed to hear that it does not give a wider tire look to the limited. I would run 275's but then I would have to run an E load rated tire (unless I go with Duratracs). The 4Runner gets piss poor mileage as it is and extra weight is not going to help (not to mention the added stiffness). Darn those Toyota designers and engineers.

Great thread..
So, it sounds as if the new FN ƒ(x) PRO wheel will have perfect fitment for my minimalist application.
