Anyone running alphaequipt wheels?

Just got a Toytec aluma series lift and KO2 285s with SPC UCA and looking to get that brand of wheel. Anyone with that wheel?

So I'm hearing that Good Year DuraTracs will rub on a stock TRD Pro with stock TRD rims and 265/70/17? Can anyone confirm this for sure?

I'm considering a move up from stock to either 275/70 r 17s or 285/70 r 17s. Were there performance issues that drove your size up? I'm really leaning heavily towards the 275s (for weight and mpg considerations). Also, the most i plan on doing is light off-roading, not rock-crawling. It looks like upsizing to 33" tires is the prevailing move, but I haven't seen a compelling argument other than "bigger is better" and it looks good.

Would love to hear your perspective after having run both size tires. Thanks!

I ran 275/70/17 BFG KO2's for 16k miles on my Limited, and just swapped out here recently to 285/70/17 Toyo AT3s. They are P-rated, and I am SO much happier with them from a ride standpoint. I think the 275 E rated was overkill for my use - for me, they rode awful on a 4R and performed poorly in wet weather. Made the move for 1) Wet weather capability, 2) Ride quality and 3) A little larger. BFGs did kill it in the snow, I expect the same from the Toyos. I do have a 3" Toyotec front, 1" rear lift installed, and the tires did rub the front fenders after the 285s were installed. I used the heat-gun front fender liner mod and it opened up the needed clearance plenty for me.

I can update after further use...

Sawman1 pretty much stated what I feel. I had 275 KO2 E load and the weight of that tire was 58#'s. My Wildpeak 285's in a SL load weigh 51#'s. The ride quality, off road traction and the larger size were all benefits. I lost nothing in MPG and may have gained a tad actually with the 285's compared to the 275's due to weight. If they made a P or SL rated 275 that was 50 or less pounds that would be good. Also, there are so many more choices and dealers that carry 285/70-17's. Also, your speedo will be right on the money. I have a Pro, so the combination of the 1" lift up front, fender liner trim at port and wheel width and offset all lead to no modifications besides my Cornfed 1.5/1" spacer install. Go 285's because you won't second guess yourself and will have no regrets.

3/2” 5100 lift
4.3* caster
305/70r17 toyo at3
8.5” -12 scs f5(recently upped from 285/70)
VERY aggressive BMC. Removed front mud flaps. Trimmed valance caps. Trimmed bumper and pushed liner. Needs pinch weld and fender liner massaged when I get time. Pretty flush with front fender, .5” poke in the rear.

- Method 701s
- BFG KO2 285/70/17
- Cornfed spacer lift 2/1
- Slight rubbing so did the simple fender liner mod and removed front mud flaps and it was good

Hey everyone! Tomorrow I trade in my ‘18 TRD Offroad for a ‘21 Pro.

One of the things I’d like to change right away are the center caps on the new Pro wheels. I despise the new red ring. Does anyone know if there’s another Toyota center cap or aftermarket center cap that will fit? If it was just the red TRD lettering like my old pro wheels, I wouldn’t mind.

Thanks for any help this community can offer.

I am in the process with my silver 4runner. What lift or level did you get and tire size/wheels?

Thanks
