I asked about all the invoice pricing BS and he laughed. Said that was the price as they don't negotiate, which is a trend here in MN.

While I'd think I could chizzle (just a guess) another $1k or so off at another regional dealer...it also adds to my cost of acquisition. I'll sleep on it and might have another 4Runner.

That said...anybody willing to share the price they paid for their TE Premium?
Was that the price including the KDSS

I've had dealers laugh when I ask for X under. I then say, "good try", but I'm not falling for that. Dealers play games and are better at playing the negotiating game than every day buyers. If a dealer laughs then it'll put an inexperienced buyer on their heels and make the buyer think "well, I tried", then buy anyway.

Reality is that in some markets it may be difficult to find a "good" deal like you can in SoCal because there isn't as much competition. I have 20 merc dealers with an hour drive, imagine how many Toy dealers there are. There are dealers here that will not give "good" pricing and there are others who give it upfront without any games.

Paid $41300 out the door. In California 2014 the premium loaded with kdss heated softex nav etc. however no third seat.

I hear ya bro, out here in BC we got the PST, we got the GST, we got the You-ST and the Me-ST. Next to Sweden I do believe we are the most heavily taxed place on earth!

I got a 2014 Trail (like the trail premium down south) Magnetic Grey Metallic.

I know the dealer real well, this in my 3rd new Toyota through him, I paid cash, so I got a good deal (certainly not by American standards). I got the remote start added which was another $800 so all together I was off the lot for 48k & change which is about 5k under the Canadian MSRP (the MSRP in BC which is an insane $52000 with all taxes, and the dealership could theoretically charge 54k with the added delivery and environmental leaves). So I got a super good deal by Canadian standards.

I figure about 12k in upgrades later and (even more importantly) with all the generous free advice from people here on the forums who helped out I'll have my dream rig!

No need to apologize bro , like engineer1 said, threads sometimes get hot. It's all good.

I actually went to a dealer that had a 2014 sr5 in stock, and test drove it.
To be honest, toyota cut a lot of stuff out of the '14 compared to my '11 and I didn't like it one bit. I wish they had a trail there, because that's what I ultimately wanted to see.
But as far as how things stand with me, I'll be sticking with my '11 sr5 for a while. Looks like the '14's are about $2000 more then the '11's, and cheaper looking

In Canada, the 14 4R's are roughly $1,750 cheaper, and come with added features over the 2010-2013s, which don't look any more, or less, cheap than the new model.

Good question. No. I'm a 2008 Sport Edition owner and needed to do some research (still do) on the Trail Editions and what I really want as I'll want a little bit of lift. Not sure whether to do suspension upgrades or go with KDSS. I'll do some searching on the topic now.

Go pushed to the back burner when the salesguy called today and said it was sold. I asked about the KDSS upgrade which retails at $1750. He wasn't 100% certain of the real price, but seemed it would be around a $1350 upgrade from the prices mentioned. They have a Silver one with KDSS coming in on Monday which I'll go take a look. Tomorrow...I just need to search this forum to figure out the pros and cons of the KDSS (assuming I'll want slight lift).

Makes sense the '14 discounts are sparse. They just hit the dealer lots
this past month. Dealers know those looking at them aren't just thinking
about buying one. They know they're going to buy one. There's no selling
involved. Dealers just have to take the order and not screw something up
and send the buyer down the street to another Toyota dealer.

Hi all, after negotiating with multiple dealers the best offer i have seen till now is of 38,672. Which is for 2014 4Runner Trail Premium, Barcelona Red.
KDSS Suspension Package
Rear Sliding Cargo Floor
Remote Engine Start
All Weather Floor Mats including for Cargo Tray (Code-2Q)

Do you guys think this is a fair deal, this is everything inclusive except for sales tax and DMV fees. The other catch is this will be a special order built which will be delivered in 90 days ...!!!

Fair? I think that's MORE than fair. Matter of fact...if they can find a Black or Silver with the same, I'd be happy coming to KY to pick it up.

@Gursi Tiwana make sure to read up the warranty thread before going in to the dealer. As I'm sure they will try to get you on that/ or maintenance plan.

Just joined the board.

I just purchased a 14 Trail Premium (nav, softex, sunroof)
exhaust tip
all weather mats
running boards
black/black
$38,105. plus TTL. (does include $805 destination fee)

Best I could negotiate within a 5 dealership radius. blk/blk is very hard to find and track down.

I could have gotten cheaper if I built it but didn't want to wait the 90 days.

Bellevue/Seattle area.
