Damn I thought the 8k over msrp they told me was bad for a 2021 TRD Off Road with KDSS, predator bars and cargo cover. That one didnt have a moonroof or the premium package. I got the 4runner but didnt pay the 8k over. We agreed on a price a bit over MSRP plus taxes etc. That was a month ago at Glendale Toyota... Im sure mines worth more than I paid with 600 miles on it today.

Ordered a Limited to replace our 2013 last week, got the build date info yesterday. Almost $3,000 under the MSRP, even after MSRP was reduced by a $1000 incentive of some sort.

Got my 21 ORP back in March for around $41k. About 2k off MSRP. Seems like I got in at the right time. Most dealers in my area aren't dealing or don't have any stock.

Decided look around on the internet just for fun to see what they are selling for in around here in Central Ohio. Holy cow. I got a slightly used 19 trdop like a month before the rona crap started for 37.5 now similar ones are dang near msrp for used with 15k ish miles. But then I scrolled across this.... 73k and not even a special color?!?! There's also a 21 lunar rock with like 4k miles for the low price of 61k.

What's worse, housing prices or TRD Pro prices? I've been thinking $60-$63k was crazy but this takes the cake!
I'm super lucky to have gotten my 2020 for under MSRP last October.

Just found a SR5 Premium with three rows and Softex for 1k under sticker. We were happy with that deal.

2021 Nightshade
I ordered my 2021 Blizzard Pearl Nightshade ~November '20 and picked it up mid January '21 for $3k under MSRP. So, ~47-48k.
Obviously the market has changed significantly in the last few months. If you can't order what you want at MSRP or lower, just wait. If you really "need" something now then spend the money on the repairs or get a reasonable $5k-$10k used car that you can turn around and sell for little loss in a year or whenever the new and lightly used car market has stabilized.

I ordered a white TRD ORP w/ KDSS and moonroof a couple weeks ago and the total before tax was $46k -- which is reasonably close to msrp. I can't believe what some people are having to pay!

I'm near Raleigh, NC and was shopping for a "used" 4runner, in that 2-4 year old with 10-35k miles on it. After looking at the used prices I figured I'd take a look at how much a new one would run me. While I was originally willing to drive/fly somewhere to pick up the car, I started looking within the state and talking to all the dealers. Turns out 2020+ used ORP were only about 1.5-2k savings against new cars, and while inventory was low I found a dealer or two that were willing to order one for me.
Luckily, ended up calling and asking about a specific 2021 black ORP, and found out the person who had it reserved no longer wanted it. Drove the 1.5hr away, and picked it up on Saturday 5/15/21.
Black 2021 TRD Off Road Premium NO KDSS, WITH Moonroof OTD for $44,000 flat in NC (3% tax). Puts the total after dealer fees right around $42,700, so a hair under 5% off of the $44,750 MSRP. Got a 2% loan for 10k down. Only options were moonroof and the $200 interior LED upgrade, which I'm sure costs less than $200 to install yourself... Happy with the price, really anything under MSRP!

I went to North Hollywood Toyota 2 years ago when I was ready to buy amd they did the same jargon on ORP going $10k over MSRP. I found Carson toyota and they did 10% off MSRP, no negotiations. Ended up getting a 2020 for a friend and they gave the same deal.
