NE Florida (Jax)
New 2019 ORP
Non-KDSS
Sunroof
Rear Cargo slide out
Predator Steps
Platinum Maintenance Packagej
Negotiate price: 36.5k
OTD: $38.2k
Traded in 2018 4Runner Limited with 16.5k miles (broke even for trade).
$500 Military Rebate
Numerous dealerships in the area quoted better purchase prices and trade-in values but would add stuff such as $1800 packages for window tint and nitrogen filled tires, title fees inflated by 500%, or $1000 dealer fees. Goes to show it is more important to compare the whole deal rather concentrating on a specific metric such as them heavily discounting the purchase price.

Well struck while the iron was hot. 19 ORP w/moon, cross bars, and weather mats. In Barcelona red.
Msrp - $42,022
Paid - $37200 including fees and taxes. OTD And they threw in tint, bra, yada yada yada. $900 worth of their crap. So around $6400 off msrp.
Also they came with in $500 of what I wanted for my trade so that brought $10.5k positive equity on the deal.
I am smitten with my ruby red beast.

That's 15% off of MSRP. That's a good deal. You might be able to wait it out a little longer and get a few more percentage points off, especially when the 2020's land. Throw them an offer at $39k, and see what they say. That would be 17% off of MSRP, which sounds like might be possible, given some of the postings on this thread.

Picked up a new 2019 TRD Off Road Premium last night from a local dealer. MSRP was $42,214 and I paid $36,489.72 + TTL. I was in a bit of a hurry to purchase it and got them to that price in one day all via email. It was hands down the most painless new car purchase I've made to date.

Yes. Tell them what you want to pay. If I were you, I'd tell them you want 17% off MSRP. That will set the bar. Then try to land at 15% off.

As already stated, start with percentage off MSRP. Make them send you an invoice showing OTD with all of their charges. I had offers of $35.5 for an ORP but their OTD was $2k higher than other dealerships quoting $36.5-$37.5.

Picked up my Grey Graphite 2019 SR5 with 4wd, nav, tint and blackout badges, some of the paint stick on paint protection ( hood, mirrors, door edges ) and all weather floor mats last sat.
MSRP before dealer options shows $38,090
$39, 190 after all options.
Paid 33, 860 including all dealer fees w/ license, transfer, etc.
Doesn’t include the GA TAVT tax to get a tag.
I feel like this is good...

2019 ORP w/ Sunroff, w/o KDSS Mag Grey in Minnesota
First post, hey guys, lets get to the point:
Dealer Add Ons:
All weather mats and cargo tray
Roof Rack Cross Bars
Cost Breakdown:
MSRP: 42,044
Negotiated Cash Price: 37,200
Rust Proof: 499 (originally 699 got them down during negotiating, I wanted this, not sold on it)
Factory Rebate: 1,000
Total Retail Price: 36,699
Motor Vehicle Sales Tax: 2,385.44
Transit/City Tax: 20.00
Admin Fee: 100.00
Additional State License and Fees: 573.50
TOTAL OUT THE DOOR: 39,777.94
So how did I do? It was a battle with them. I walked away, they walked away, a true back in forth. It was the last one on the lot, which was really ammunition for both sides it felt like. Stuck to my guns and happy with it!

2020 TRD Pro
51,724
+ 556 (options)
+ 3,156 (6% tax)
+ 765 (dealer fee)
56,201 OTD
I feel like I am definitely having to pay the price to get one of the first Army Green TRD Pros...tried to negotiate down to get it to $55,000 OTD but go no wiggle room. Put a fully refundable $1k deposit down to hold it, and it's really eating at me to be potentially paying full MSRP + fees.
