Found a dealer local to me offering me the 2020 Pro Army Green for $49,000 before any TTL with the predator steps. I should be paying 0 sales tax due to my trade. So just will be registration fees. Still debating if I should save $4-5k and get a 19. However after a much research the push button start, infotainment, and TSS-P upgrades are nice.

Seems like it has everything I want. The running board, remote start, and cargo rack. Is their any other options?

There’s a guy in another thread saying he got a 19 ORP with an MSRP of 42 for 32 OTD. That seems almost impossible unless it was a loaner or demo. Unless he lives somewhere with almost no taxes or dealer fees that’s 30% off MSRP.

Today we bought a Magnetic Gray 2020 SR5 Premium 4x4, with moon roof and 3rd row from Daytona Toyota (FL). The only add was the Southeast Toyota phone cables for $73. MSRP was $43,188. Our sale price was $38,000. Approximately 12% off MSRP.

I'm not sure how much OTD numbers matter to this discussion. Dealer fees and taxes vary quite a bit, from state to state. For those who are interested, our OTD was $33,864.67.

We financed through the dealer with Space Coast Credit Union for 36 months at 1.89 (we were pre-approved before going to the dealer).

Since this is a Toyota-centric audience, our trade was a 2006 4wd quad-cab Tacoma. It runs good and the interior is relatively clean, but the exterior not great. With 255,000+ miles, we still got $7,500 for a trade value. I had taken it to Carmax for an appraisal prior to visiting the dealer, and they'd offered $5,000. So I figured $7,500-8,000 might be a good private party selling price.

All in all, our experience was relatively straight forward. We knew exactly the 4Runner we wanted, we'd already had our trade appraised and we were already pre-approved. Between the TruCar offers I received and the sale prices being shared on this thread, the negotiation only took a few minutes.

Thank you to all who have replied to this thread! Your experiences definitely helped with our purchase.

Now on the the fun stuff...lift, wheels, tires, nerf bars, etc.

I did notice the prices dropping off recently on Runners (Except Pros. I don't pay over sticker.). I was on the sideline waiting for the 2020 because carplay was non negotiable. That's how i got my wife into the dealership to trade in her Rav4. Anyway. Honed in on exactly what I wanted, Silver TRD Off Road Premium with sunroof and no KDSS. Was at $40,200 on an MSRP of $43xxx before trying.

Didn't know, but the 1-price dealer? Yea, they negotiate. Got another $2k off. And some free stuff (if you don't ask, you wont get it!). I have this sick obsession with negotiating on cars. Almost traded in my sports car last week for a Hellcat. And wow, I had quite the deal on a used 16 Hellcat with a 6spd MT. Happy I walked though. Don't need 2 boats... :P

So many variables state to state, county to county. And most importantly, interest rates. Hadn't seen a 3.99% on a 60mo for a 4Runner, then we somehow managed to get that down to a 3.54%! I was really happy with the 4.99% through a local credit union I had shopped around.

I got a great deal for where I am, when I was shopping. Love it.

I thought I saw Southeast Toyota Finance had 3.19 on 60, 3.5% on 72 until early January for 2020 models. Navy Federal has 3.99 for up to 72.

Hmmm, actually seeing a 2020 TRDP for $2k below MSRP locally (Denver, CO). Interesting. Should have pressed the wife harder for the Pro! Even at $47k, it was a bit out of budget though and Carplay was non-negotiable.

I recently bought a 2019 TRD OR premium under invoice. I believe it was listed at 42 MSRP, I got it for 37500 (invoice was around 39 from what I saw) To be fair I did have a connection at the dealership and it was the last White 2019 they had. I didn't want the stuff with the refresh, too much to break. I also paid to have the rims added outside of this price so now I have two sets of rims.

That's a good price. I'm heading to that dealership this weekend to take a look at the 2020 white ones that just got in. Hoping to negotiate a similar price for my GF.
