Update: Looks like Costco pricing is ~4% under MSRP. Decent place to start. I'll see about bumping my trade up to compensate lol.

Just got an off road non-kdss for $39.8 pre-ttl. Only add on it had was trail rails. They also gave me $1k more than kbb trade in value on my truck. All in all happy with the deal. In central Louisiana for reference.

Anyone know of any dealers in DMV area willing to sell at slightly above invoice? I've contacted over 30 dealers just in the Maryland area with no luck so far

Did you try Sheehy Toyota of Laurel? Their grand opening was several months ago. I’m not sure what demand is right now, but you can try them if you have not already done so.

I was working with a gentleman named Giles (202) 597-4358. Not that this would matter, tell him Patrick sent you (who knows they may charge you more LOL!).

It wasn’t easy trying to negotiate. I got a 2021 Venture for 44K OTD using a Special Internet Price discount.

Yup I have. Initial email from them saying they have one, but its' not the color I want. They do seem to have the most 4Runners in stock, website shows they have 23 on the lot. I'll give Giles a try. Thanks

There's a chance that a local dealer has the color you want, hasn't sold it - and the dealer will call that other dealer and trade them... at no cost to you.

~13yrs ago I worked for a Toyota dealer and can tell you they do this all the time.

It sounds like a terrible time to buy a 4runner now with low inventory and price gouging.

Most dealers in my area barely have any 4Runners.

If you want a bargain you should probably look into a Venza. Dealers seemed to overstocked with new Venzas.

I understand refusing to be price gouged on a car because you want it, but buying completely different one because of “how the numbers look” ... at least make sure it’s something you want.

This is the norm. I’m right in that region. I only got $1000 “Keep It Wild Savings” and they adjusted the value of my trade up $1000. The total “discount” was $2k off an MSRP of $51k (no dealer addendum / market adjustment).

Customized one online w/same options and numbers added up to the dollar. The southeast US is terrible for all discounts on any type of vehicle. It’s 4x4 country.

Can we all agree that buying a car at full MSRP when you’re financially ready is still 100% better than buying it at a steal when you’re broke?
