Well I have been lurking on this forum for quite some time now. The wife and I originally owned a 2008 Highlander Base that we loved. However, over the last few years we have been talking about getting a small hardside trailer (think Casita) for camping as we have been tent camping for almost 12yrs now.

This then brought on the discussion of, will the Highlander tow something like that? And the real answer became, no. So with a little over 100k on the Highlander we recently traded it in for a 2011 4Runner SR5 Premium with 38k on it!

We love it so far, but we have found one thing wrong with it... It is a few inches taller than the Highlander was (to be expected) but what we did not anticipate is that it is much harder for my wife to get in and out of. With her only being 5' tall, she has some trouble getting in and with her purse and whatnot, it is just that much harder.

So what do you guys recommend for steps/sliders/nerf bars? This will never see much off road other than the very rare dirt road so mods will be left to my FJ60 . From the small bit I can find on these options, they all pretty much run in the $400+ range but are pretty equivalent in price for something basic.
