Orlyg1521's build

After my "99 4runner was totaled, I was shopping for my second 4runner (2010 SR5) when I found this forum. The guidance I have received has been amazing. (thanks to Harper, Antman, Ducmonsta and so many others). You all will bankrupt me
My build will not be over the top but rather practical and functional. I started with some Metal Tech luv. Luckily they are local and have been great. I got to meet Mark, LT and Wade who took time to show me what I needed. I went with an OME medium 3" lift with LR UCA and a set of OPOR sliders ( a few pics here)Orlyg1521's build-slider1-jpg

I not only wanted to start my build thread but also to share some info from Metal Tech (no affiliation with them). A conversation with Mark and Wade included: a new discount established for military/police/fire " 10% off all Metal-Tech and OPOR Brand products including installation. There is currently not a code available to use the website, they will need to place an order by phone."

Also got some inside scoop on some new items in development but Mark made me promise to not to spill the beans

Next up will be Wild country AT2 285's, RCI under carriage armor, rear bumper, frnt hitch, Pioneer HU.

Howdy neighbor. Yea, the guys at Metal Tech are great. Your rig is looking good and it sounds like your plans will make it look even better. Hopefully Metal Tech will come out with a rear bumper for the Runner that is similar to the Red Eye FJ bumper.

Latest

Latest on the upgrades/issues
Daddy got new shoes: what a difference! these belong in 285/70/17's (Toyo Open Country II). I had to move and heat/reshape the L wheel well liner and still having a bit of a rub with R extreme turns. I'm concerned about what will happen with articulation

My ride has seen the light: interior LED conversion. It has made a huge difference! Next will be a cargo area LED addition and change the map lights to Red LED's

Issue: BT/hands free started to cutout. Had to have a tech unpair the phone and repair both the phone and audio BT. It took multiple tries and about 30 min, this was after my trying for way more than that

Next: tranny/oil pan skids, ham (HH vs mobile?), onboard vs portable air.
