Gobi Ladder - Stronger Gas Spring? It sounds like the gas springs would be the way to go to get everything that you need. I also like the sun roof insert however just want to get everything I need to get started.

Looks like SOcalTRAIL did the research and found an alternative to the Gobi gas springs. I think I will get the sun roof insert if the hatch struts can be replaced for around $50 when they blow.

Other than that, they give the hatch the perfect amount of lift, they are an easy upgrade or replacement of yours are already blown, and best of all, thy are DIRT CHEAP!!!! How does $17 / each sound!

Anywho. Thought I would share, I am happy to have my hatch back up and functional again, I got tired of resting it on my head as I grab my crap out of the back.

Yeah, me too, I got a good price from Trail Duty using a $100 off coupon from their facebook page, but I am going on two months and still no tracking number. Hopefully soon...

I think $1345 out the door with an attachment & ladder is a fantastic deal.

Many people have expressed concerns over Gobi's wait time. I believe they are a small business so there will be long wait times since these aren't mass produced. Take a look at one of the past group buys and see how long they waited...

On another note, other members seem to be happy with Drabbits roof racks. FS 5th Gen. Full Length Roof Racks by drabbits

Just throwing that out there. Choices and competition are always good for the end consumer.
