Nice article, one pet peeve - both have transfer cases.
"this year would see me drive the more luxurious Limited model, which comes with a full-time 4WD system and lockable, Torsen center-differential instead of a transfer case and part-time 4WD."
The Torsen differential is a component within the transfer case on the limited edition. Perhaps I'm just nitpicking but this is a common source of confusion.
Looking forward to more updates!

Good article and well written. The picture of your 4R entering the cottage lane reminds me of Heisenberg's safe house in season 6 of Breaking Bad. Also, the picture of the 4R pulling out the F-150 is pretty cool.

Thanks buddy. I remember that. You had good questions and have kept the same avatar!
I've always had a soft spot for the 4R since that first test - might have to buy this one this time 'round. Will decide as I get nearer to Feb. Hard to decide since I always have a brand new car every week, but I do need a light truck of my own.....first-world problem, I know.
Appreciate the other comments!

I'm surprised you achieved that kind of fuel economy. Mine has been crap since Nov 1. Even on a recent 200km (100km each way- a few km of city) highway trip I don't think I broke 13L/100km. Cruised around 120. I am using the wider 17's for winter though.
