Cargo Storage back right Area

I searched for this and couldn't find it.

Just bought a 2014 SR5 with premium package and in the back right there is a cut out area but it looks like it needs a door or something. Am I missing mine or is that just how it is? I think that would be a great spot for some emergency supplies: jumper cables, flashlight, etc. I can post a pic tomorrow for clarification.

I find a jug of washer fluid fits in there perfectly.

I wonder if the TE has different compartments. Here's a picture from the back right of the cargo area in my 2014 SR5 Premium.

Are we all talking about the same "back right" area? Just looking for clarification...

That's very different from the back passenger side of an 11 TE.

Well, I guess that clears it up.

If the OP was indeed referencing the compartment shown in my picture, I suggest asking the dealer to find/replace the missing door.

OP, do you have 3rd row seating by chance? My theory is that that compartment is only on trucks with the 3rd row, since we lose out on the small floor compartment in the cargo area.

Or I don't know, maybe all '14's have it. Either way, sounds like you're missing the cover.

That definitely does not look like the back of my 2014 Trail Premium. The storage space provided there (on the TE) has no door (and doesn't look like it should have a door).

Oh, duh - just noticed the 3rd row seat belts. Judging by that & some of the info above, I think we've established that this covered passenger side cargo bin is indeed unique to T4R's with optional 3rd row seating.

I really wish my Trail had some enclosed storage like that. I've been comtemplating the Antman/Harper7 wheel well storage mod, but I have some hesitation about intentionally breaking things on my brand new vehicle.

Ok thanks for the confirmation. I might look into building a custom door to seal that up, will report back.
