2011 4Runner Limited Tire Help Please!!!!

Hi everyone!

I am new to the forum. I have searched for a thread on this and can't seem to find the answer, I may be missing it so please forgive me.

I have a Limited that I am still running the Dueler H/T on it. They have a lot of miles and the tread is nearing its end. Very quickly I became aware that the only tires I can find in a search are all-season tires from three makers. I want to find something with more of an all-terrain tread,, but I am ignorant when it comes to finding out what other brands/sizes will still work with the stock wheels etc. I am hoping that you guys can suggest some brands/sizes other than the three that always pop up on tire searches. Now that the newness has worn off I want to take my 4R on some trails, but don't feel smart doing it with Dueler H/T tires.

Thank you ahead of time for the input you can give me....make sure to Skeet Skeet in 4L : )

Check out nitto terra grapplers. There is a thread on here about stock 20's with people going to a 265 width tire. I upgraded wheels to a 20x9 and went with 275's. Stock wheels are 20x7.5, so I wouldn't go any wider than 265

I just swapped out my 20" rims for some 17" SR5 rims and put Toyo Open Country 2 tires on them. I like the look, the ride, and the versatility so much more than the stock pizza cutters.

The stock 20" rim is only 7 inches wide regardless of what the other post says, been discussed many times in the forum. I also ditched the 20's for a set of SR5 rims and instantly had a ton of all terrain options. The ride is pretty much the same with the c load sidewall compared to the 20's but the P metric felt soft for me. Good old discount put a p-metric on even though I asked for the LT in a c load so I got to drive both, my suggestion if you like the stock ride would be to consider a C or E sidewall.

Selling the stock 20 rims is not that hard, shockingly.

x2 on Toyo Open Country AT-II. Welcome to the forum, there's a lot of knowledge here so you've come to the right place. Sounds like you're relatively new to mods so I'm happy to comment. Everyone has their chosen favorites for their individual needs, but I'll save you a lot of research by saying the Toyo's are consistently one of the best performing 'trail-worthy' daily driver all-terrain tires. Terra-grapplers are great too, but in my experience the Toyo's hold up better.. I attribute it to the rubber compounds used. The Bridgestone Dueler Revo's are also a highly regarded tire in the category. If you're looking for something more aggressive it'd be best to research on your own as the more trail-oriented all-terrains each have their strong and weak points, you'll have to gauge for yourself which tire will suit you best. Goodluck.

Naw I'm ok. They just need to RTFM and FAQ and they will be brilliant. BTW I drove out of the snow down to South Carolina last night to ride my mountain bike for a few days. Life is good lol.

Have you or desch used your AT II's in soft sand or mud? If so, I'd sure appreciate any feedback.

Thanks
